Here is a list, it's quite short I assure you, of characters that are canon. If you choose to claim one, they must be in character. I will not have Draco dating a Hufflepuff muggleborn or Hermione trying to take over the school. Secondly, if you do choose to portray a canon, you must use the celebrity who portrayed them in the movies.
Harry Potter [war hero]
Hermione Granger [war hero]
Ron Weasley [war hero]
Ginny Weasley [dating Harry]
Luna Lovegood [6th year]
Minerva McGonagall [Transfiguration|Headmistress]
Draco Malfoy [Graduate but enlisted Harry's help]
These are the major canon characters. Feel free to claim any other canon students that've not been claimed. If a professor is not listed than they resigned after the war. We are going to deviate from canon a bit here. If the two who have Ron and Hermione wish to go by canon want them to go by canon and have them dating be my guest, but if you don't want to that's okay.
