With a groan Clint stepped outside. He had a ton of homework, but he just didn't feel like going to the library to work on it. It was much too pretty outside. His gaze raked the grounds, before deciding that one of the benches in the courtyard was looking rather inviting. With another groan he flopped down on it. The amount of homework was enough to drag his spirits down, he was seriously not looking forward to having to do all that. His sixth year so far had been composed of hard classes and even harder homework. To top it all off, he had NEWTs next year and was definitely not looking forward to those. That and the fact that his professors were pressuring them to start thinking on a career they would like to go into. Clint had though a translator of Ancient Runes had sounded rather promising but he would save the final choice until after he'd had a little talk with his parents. He sat there, despondantly staring off into the distance.

Christian meandered his way around the grounds. He had a bit of homework, but he'd finished most of it earlier today. All he had was an Astronomy project and and a mythology assignment. Neither of which were due in the next day or so, so Christian had no pressure to get it done. He spotted a Gryffindor seated on a stone bench staring at the sky. Christian had seen him round and about the halls but had never really stopped to pay much attention to the lad. He settled on the bench beside the younger Gryffindor. "You look overwhelmed." He remarked as he considered the lad. He did indeed look like he was under much stress.

Movement caught Clint's eye and his vision snapped into focus on a Ravenclaw that was currently sitting next to him. He recognized the Ravenclaw of course, he knew his name was Christian but beyond that he knew next to nothing about him except for the fact that he was a 7th year. "I feel overwhelmed," He answered tiredly. "I've got a month's worth of homework due this week and no energy or inclination to do it." He remarked off-handedly. "I'm Clint by the way."

Christian considered the Gryffindor's words carefully before responding to them. He was after all a 7th year and thus had NEWT's coming up in about a year's time. Therefore, he also had had mountains of homework. Unlike the Gryffindor he actually like doing most of it.
"Do it a bit at a time." He suggested. "A couple of sentences here and there during classes, a paragraph between classes, and so on and so forth."
"I'm Christian." He said with a faint smile. "Nice to meetcha Clint!"

Clint considered the Ravenclaw's advice carefully before nodding more to himself. It certainly made sense to do it that way. It would make all of his homework seem easier that way than staying up till three in the morning trying to do it all at once. "Yes." He answered thoughtfully. "That could work. Thanks for the advice." He grinned at the older student. "Nice to meet you too."

Christian was pleased when the Gryffindor caught on. "Your welcome." He said pleasantly. "It works well for me, it is always best to work on the homework that is due sooner. Worry about the other homework once you've got that completed. That way you don't find yourself with completed homework due in two weeks but without an inch on homework due tomorrow."
"Would you like to join me for studying in the library?" Christian asked after a minute's thought. "I could probably help you with your homework."

"I can see the logic in that." Clint mused as he mulled over the Ravenclaw's words. "That would seriously suck if that actually happened."
"I'll have to remember that." he admitted finally. He paused in thought at the Ravenclaw's suggestion. "I would be happy to study with you in the library." He said finally.
