Christian stared in trepidation at the Forbidden Forest. He had been dared to go on and climb a tree. Christian being Christian couldn't refuse. Not when the bet was thirty galleons. He swallowed thickly before beginning the trek to the forest. It was a dark forest and looked quite dangerous. As he passed under the first of the trees, he began to seriously consider backing out. But he couldn't. To do so would cause him to lose face and he would owe sixty galleons which he couldn't afford. Keeping an eye out for a prospective tree, he walked deeper into the forest.

Brant's lips curved upward in a smirk as he watched the idiot Ravenclaw enter the forest. With nary a thought about his own safety, he followed at a distance. On his way, he pulled the hood of his robe over his head. A quick slashing spell on his robes and they were at the proper state of being. He had an evil little prank to play on his least favorite Ravenclaw, and he was more than ready to do so at the first opportunity.

Christian was starting to get the feeling that he was being followed. he wasn't sure why, but he had that strange prickling on the back of his neck. Once or twice he had seen something flit by only for nothing to be there when he spun around to look. All in all, Christian was feeling slightly creeped out, and totally scared. Several times he had looked behind him, but had not seen anything or anybody. After a bit more walking, he spotted a likely candidate for climbing. He found himself wondering how he was supposed to climb it.

Brant was really getting a kick out of creeping the Ravenclaw out. It was quite fun really. Christian was quite jumpy. That was to be expected considering where they were. He ran across the clearing behind the Ravenclaw while making a slightly eery moaning sound as he went. It was so amusing watching the Ravenclaw jump at the slightest sound.
"Now how does he intend to do this, I wonder." He muttered to himself while peeking out at the Ravenclaw from behind a tree.

Christian spent several minutes just staring at the tall tree in an effort to figure out how best to do this. Climbing trees wasn't really his forte, was he was game to give it a try. He decided to start with the age hold method of getting up trees. He attempted to scramble up it by sticking hands and feet wherever he could find handholds and footholds. In retrospective, this was probably not a wise method.

Brant couldn't help it. He laughed hysterically as Christian's attempt at climbing the tree. He was just waiting for something to jump out and bite the idiot. With a smirk he glided out from behind the tree. He was gliding to be sure, a nice wingardium leviosa charm fixed that problem. he wondered if the Ravenclaw thought he was a dementor.

The laughing gave it away. Christian heard it and twisted around, almost losing his foothold. He cursed as he struggled to regain it. That laugh had sounded awfully familiar though. He had a feeling he knew who it belonged to. His heart almost stopped as he caught movement out of the corner of his eye. He really did fall out of the tree that time, landing painfully on his wrist. A sharp pain caused him to cry out. He got a good look at the thing as it floated closer. It was not a dementor, he realized. He was not experiencing his worst nightmare's. With a glower he spoke.
"Bugger off, Dirks!"

Brant thought it hilarious when Christian fell out of the tree. He stopped snickering when the aforementioned Ravenclaw let out a cry of pain. Had that been a crack he'd heard. he certainly hoped not because he was to blame if the boy had snapped his wrist. The realization from the boy was amusing though. Brant could just see it dawning on the idiot's face.
"No, someone's got to keep your miserably clumsy hide alive!" he said, feigning cheerfulness.

If Christian weren't in so much pain, he might have cheerfully strangled the blasted Slytherin. Honestly, why was the boy stalking him? Did he have a crush on him or something. Did Christian need to make certain he knew that he was perfectly straight? He cradled his wrist to his chest. So much for that dare and all those galleons. He would have to go to the nurse now.
"Well your doing a bloody good job!" He snapped irritated.

"Yes, I know I am." Brant preened as he settled next to the injured boy. "See, this is why widdle Ravenclaw's shouldn't go into the Forbidden Forest by themself." He cooed as he examined the wrist. Yep definitely broken. You should go to the Hospital Wing. Maybe they'll cure your stupidity too." With a snicker he dragged the Ravenclaw to his feet.
